We at Pändy have a more environmentally friendly packaging. This has contributed to the fact that we now have a 40% lower carbon footprint (CO2 footprint).
The principle used to reduce the CO2 footprint in the packaging is called the mass balance principle. This principle means that bio-based/fossil-free/renewable plastics are mixed with fossil-based plastics in general production. This results in a bag with a 40% lower carbon footprint (CO2 footprint). The bio-based material can come from several different raw materials from nature, the most common sources being pine oil and sugarcane.
